Is there any chance in the near future that Makerbot will release a larger size to compete with the print bed of the RepRap. I’m a novice in electronics and would be unable to build the boards need for the RepRap, but looking at the instructions on your site I could build that. In short I like your all in one package but would like it to be larger, any thoughts?

To put this in perspective I have a name brand GPS unit. Shortly after buying it that company released a new version that was thinner and had some new features. No such upgrades were available for my unit. And really that is just silly. postcard printing

Thanks for the offer Bre! We'll send you an STL during the next week. I'm very curious to see the result. Actually we would like to get an 3D-printer (or maybe even more than one) as centre point for our upcoming Creative Coding workshops. Goal is to combine 3D-printing with generative design in an meaningful way. The results will be presented during the Ars Electronica in Linz. Are you interested in some kind of cooperation?
