cradle to cradle initiative austria

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Monday started the cradle to cradle initiative Austria with a press conference at the office of http://www.pilotprojekt.at. Albin Kälin had some good reasons for companies, to think our world the cradle-to-cradle way. Basically it should help to achieve our goals with the smallest effort for our environment. Sounds expensive – but can save you a lot of money, if you understand the real motivations and processes behind our society. I don’t want to own a car, I want to use it. So, why shouldn’t a car company lend me a car for km100.000? After that period I’ll give it back and the company can use all the materials for a more efficient one. With such ideas, the world could really become a nice place for everyone. From now on Pilotprojekt will present the main ideas behind all that on http://www.cradletocradle.at with the backing of http://www.epea.com

Creative Industries Styria

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

Fluid Forms had been to the official starting ceremony of the association “Creative Industries Styria” in the List Halle last week. Keynote speaker was Karim Rashid. I loved the big difference in the way Eberhard Schrempf and Karim Rashid were “presenting” their massage. It was the introverted, quite European way versus the extroverted, louder American style of saying things. Karim told us, why he got thrown out of school not just once. Basically it had to do with the overwhelming creativity of his father an himself ;-) I found the idea of design democracy quite nice, thought it has’nt much to do with http://www.designdemocracy08.com The best thing of the whole night had been the cardboard seats – a great benefit for Fluid Forms. They are already part of our Formatory. Thank you http://www.cis.at
